I've been playing with pen and ink and a bit of watercolor. This is a postcard. However, I will need to spray it with a fixative or the watercolor will run in the mail if the postal service allows it to get wet.
This card needs to get to New York by Sunday or once again I will be officially late!
Oh well. Surely it isn't the first time! But we DID visit last weekend and took Amanda and Alvin out to eat and to the musical CINDERELLA on Broadway. What a treat!
Please visit my new etsy shop and help get the word out. I am posting custom cards and the proceeds from them will go to my local Humane Society. They asked for my help and it was that or bring home 20+ cats... selling cards seemed like the best choice.
I always make my sister's anniversary card and my neighbor's birthday card the same day. One is in Wisconsin and one is in Florida, so they will probably never compare.
These are their cards this year.
I really like the embossing folder I ended up using ... long story short, I planned another one and went to the basement to make the cards. I was too lazy to come back upstairs to get the intended folder. This one has an owl on it ... behind the texts.
In place of a guestbook, we will have a huge magnetic white board with butterflies for people to sign. Of course that means cutting a LOT of butterflies in pastel colors, and putting a stick-on magnet on each. I couldn't resist spreading them across my refrigerator when I finished
The plan is to create a rainbow of butterflies and frame it for their apartment after the wedding.
Been working on stuff for my daughter's wedding and keeping it all a secret from my blogging world till after the day. But these thank you cards will go to her for right now, so I guess I can share them in advance!
