The challenge was to draw my hair the way it looks in the morning. The sad thing is, I DO look just this grumpy. If you don't believe me, just ask Mike!
When I realized I was getting comments and support from the EDM community, I decided to begin a blog just for my artwork.
You can find it here .... ( right where I used to blog about knitting socks ... ) (( I LOVE my A.D.D !))

Yes ma'am, you do look grumpy! I like your drawing, and like the wonderful suggestions of clumps of hair. Welcome to EDM.
ReplyDeleteA great sketch, Cat - I have not tried one of myself. I see a 60 yo in the mirror every morning.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say grumpy, more skeptical really ;-) nice sketch though!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat - welcome to the EDM group. Nice sketch - not a subject I've dared to tackle yet ...

ReplyDeleteHello Cat, welcome to the group! I like the sticky-out hair, reminds me of my own :)
ReplyDeleteBy golly, I think you've got it. The drawing bug that is. Welcome and we are glad that you are sharing.
ReplyDeleteglad you stopped believing those nuns! Great drawing! You really captured the moment.
ReplyDeleteLove the sketch =)
ReplyDeleteyou are doing good on your sketch.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch Cat.
ReplyDeleteIt could be that if you are drawing from a mirror there is going to be a strong look of concentration. If you draw from a photo, I guess you can choose your picture.
There...I didn't type the word grumpy once...doh...I just did didn't I?
As I liked your sketch so much I am going to nip over to your other blog for a tiny peek.
