Mike was looking for some thing-a-ma-bob in the hardware section of Walmart and I was bored ... so I started choosing paint chips for some flower punchies.

I think I like the outline better than the fill in!

This card was based on a card I saw on pinterest ... here is the link  As you can see, it was a blatant steal!

But I think if people post their cards, they are probably aware that they will be copied!  I hope so anyway!

Mickey Wedding

Card with be with a gift, so I could make the bow 3D and not worry about mailing it.

Inside of the card

David is going to a wedding this month.

He asked for a Mickey themed card --- the couple got engaged at Disneyland. This is the card I came up with.

These were really fun to make ... but I got a bit carried away and started striping the string with copic markers in pink and green.





Then I started decorating the backs with my scraps.

Spent about 4 hours making 15 gift tags.

Now to wrap presents and put up the tree!

I have to admit, I dug in my stash for these cards. One is for Alvin, my future son-in-law ... and the other for my sister, Sue.

not exactly a card ...

I made this I SPY bottle to keep kids amused at Amanda's wedding.  I found little trinkets at the dollar store and in the button section at Michaels.  The rice was colored with food coloring and rubbing alcohol mixed in a plastic bag.  The cover is hot glued on.

I created these spooky cards for Halloween greetings. 

The drawing was done in charcoal, graphite and eraser.  

Then I made copies of it.

The trouble with pinterest

The trouble with pinterest is that I never know where I got things from ... I saw a darling card and this is the card I made to imitate it ...

Wish I could tell you the source, but when I went back to look, it was long gone.

Stamp Camp

Stamp camp is always a fun time with friends and snacks .... plus these cards use the new stampin up supplies.  New toys are great!

The butterfly punch is calling my name .... thinking I may have to get it. BUt then I will want the butterfly stamp. And maybe vellum so I can stamp and emboss and color on the back.

It never ends, does it!

Stampin with the Girls

I met with Amy and Dee to stamp and chat. I think we chatted much more than we stamped; but this is the card I created as my contribution to the table.

Gettting too old

When I heard that the boy who will receive this card loves Big Time Rush, I had to look it up! Here is my line drawing of the music group --- the inside of his card has the lyrics to one of their songs changed to fit him.

Birds and Biscuits

Our friend Tony is celebrating his birthday on April Fool's Day. Since he is a bit of a senior citizen and glories in his shuffleboard, I made a shuffleboard card for him complete with Altoid "biscuits".  (Wikipedia assures me that the thingies they hit are called biscuits)

Unfortunately, he was a bit under the weather and didn't come to our Tuesday dinner party at Sam's, and now I am faced with either figuring out how to mail a card with altoids glued to it, or make a new card.

The new card is on the right. I kind of prefer it!

The birdie card is not original at all, I saw it at Nancy Zindorf's blog and had to make one.  Hers is prettier ... but I do like mine too.
