D2D poinsettia

Designed 2 Delight had this pretty poinsettia as a free digi this week. I have always been fascinated by blue poinsettias, and the variation of color --- it was fun to try to imitate nature with my copics. Actually I have a whole table full of poinsettias in various colorways, this is the only one that got finished into a card.

After making 10 cards a month all year, I actually don't NEED any more cards, but who could resist!

Fall Digi Wreath

D2D has this beautiful wreath and it was really fun to color!  Hop on over there for a free digi --- you gotta get there before Thursday!  I am not sure WHY my scanner chose to blur the text so badly - maybe I have the settings too low. Someday I gotta figure out technology instead of spending all my time coloring!

Teapots on Thursday?

Just got around to my dragonfly card. I have been busy printing digi images to take with me when I go on Saturday to become COPIC CERTIFIED>>>> I am so excited!

Image is from Designed2Delight.  I think I colored 10 of 'em just sitting and watching TV the other day ...this guy uses the colors of the day from Splitcoast.

Coloring Red

There is a super tutorial on coloring with red markers over at I Like Markers - and I had to give it a try. My first attempt was my apple --- done in the "old fashioned" way of coloring the whole image with little circles of light then adding the darker colors and finally finishing with the original light color as a blender. Next I tried my octopus image with lots of feathering and no little circles. Then I sampled paper with the digi flowerpot - lots of people say SU is hard to work on, but I found the SU worked pretty well for me. The flowerpot is from Designed 2 Delight - you can get a free image there every week to play with.

Now ... do I chop them apart and make cards or save them as samples. hmmm. Dilemma.

Another image I colored, this time with gray and red, and just a little yellow.  The image was free at Designed 2 Delight.

D2D Flowerpot

I grabbed the free digi at Designed to Delight this week and had a ball coloring the pot with different combinations of Copics. What a great multi-use card!


Doncha love the 2 colors in the square set on point? It was because I had a scrap of pink that wasn't big enough. I love how it looks! Adds just enough interest!
